Hello, we are a group of three sisters plus one life-long friend. While we have all different personalities, we all share close connections with our families, our communities and local groups and organisations. We have grown up together celebrating nights out, hen parties and foreign holidays with each other and we continue to be up for taking on new challenges, especially when it is for something positive in our community. Between us all we have a fair amount of experience of being on the stage with two of us performing in the recent Borderline Players’ farce ‘Widow’s Paradise’. Our connections with Borderline Players stretch back to the early years with performances in numerous plays that have taken us to many theatres in Northern Ireland and in bordering counties. We also support the group as audience members and by lending a hand with other projects such as during its recent run of the Pantomime ‘Little Bo Peep’.
Earlier this year the four of us put together and performed a short comedy sketch in Bannagh Cross-community Hall to raise funds for the projects that go on there and for Alzheimer’s. We appreciate the work of community heroes who provided us with many great childhood experiences in Bannagh plus we know the importance of different generations having a place to come together and socialise. We’d like to raise more funds for Bannagh Hall in the future so that more local people from all ages and backgrounds, can enjoy the experiences we had when growing up.
We ‘The Aces’ * are going to whole-heartedly embrace this lip-sync challenge and we hope the wider local community and charities will benefit as a result. We’ll do our best to give you a night to remember and while the usual advice is to just be ourselves, in this instance, we can make no promises! In fact, we’re really going to try and not be ourselves!!
